What a great day! It started with a 97 km ride with the Husky Team (or, I should say, a subset of the team, as we split into two groups at the south end of Lake Washington). Our route took us around the south end of the lake, then up to May Valley Rd. to Issaquah-Hobart Rd. which we took north to Issaquah, and then on Newport Way essentially down to Mercer Island and back to UW. It was a great ride, probably the longest ride I've ever done in November. About 4 hours ride time, probably 4:40 from door to door.
Then, Jenni and I went to Theatre Off Jackson where our friends were holding auditions for Ear to the Ground Theatre's upcoming theatrical clown show, Not All Clowns are Bozos II: Clown Harder. We saw a couple of auditions, and then we videoed Chickee and Boom-Boom doing a little plug for the show that I am going to incorporate into some promo videos for it. I used my recently acquired Nikon D-90, which has really good video capabilities, certainly the best video I've ever been able to produce.
Then Jenni and I went to Bimbo's Bitchin Burrito Kitchen (1013 E Pike, Seattle) with our friend Valerie. I love this place. I was just at yelp and looked at the reviews of Bimbo's, and gee, I do not understand. So often on restaurant review sites, I see people complain about "the service", saying things about the "attitude" of the servers. I have never understood this: if the wait staff asks you what you want, and then it comes to you in some reasonable amount of time, that's all I ever expect of wait staff. I don't care if they don't fawn all over me, and ask about my day. It can be nice when they are friendly, but I brought my friends with me, so I don't need them to be one too. Anyway, I always love my Bimbo's experience: they have the best Burritos, and the place has a great, no-nonsense kind of feel, and I always get my burrito in a reasonable amount of time. I think asking more of a restaurant is...asking for something else.
Then, we went to Cupcake Royale, and got a couple of cupcakes for later.
So that's a day.
