I'm back on that pencil horse!

I started studying figure drawing this fall, with a class (Foundation Drawing I) at Gage Academy in Seattle. I did many, many short (1-20 minute) drawings of models in charcoal, which were then just erased, using the drawing pad like a blackboard. I don't have a lot to show, but I made a lot of progress.
I did do this master copy of a Goltzius drawing, which I think looks pretty good, even in its unfinished state.

I'm taking Foundation Drawing I this fall at Gage Academy in Seattle. My instructor is the terrific Magaret Davidson. Here are two of the drawings I've done for the class. Click to go to Flickr and see them lots bigger.
A round thing, not an egg though.

Striped cloth. The idea is to create form via both shadow and pattern.

Today was my first day of my Drawing in Ink class at Gage. I made two drawings.
The first is a copy of a drawing by Raphael of Michelangelo's David.

The second is a rubber ducky, drawn from "life".

I think I'm off to a good start.
